PROGRAM MANAGER

Cody Robicheau

With six years of hands-on experience with the SWLSS, Cody has experience in all roles within the organization. Most importantly, Cody played a central role in modernizing and strengthening the organization’s data collection systems and helped move SWLSS toward more consistent, accurate, and usable scientific data.

Cody continues to support the collection, organization, quality control, and management of fisheries data gathered through industry-led science programs. His experience includes supporting at-sea data collection, managing and training technicians, data-entry workflows, database organization, and internal reporting processes.

Through his work, Cody has helped ensure that information collected by SWLSS technicians is reliable, standardized, and useful for scientific review, industry decision making, and project reporting.

BOOKKEEPER/SECRETARY

Nancy d’Entremont

With decades of experience working within the lobster fishery, Nancy brings extensive industry knowledge and a strong understanding of the people, businesses, and communities that depend on it. Throughout a long and dedicated career, Nancy has provided trusted bookkeeping, administrative, and secretarial support, combining professionalism, organization, and attention to detail with a deep connection to the lobster industry.

Most importantly, Nancy is a friendly face many SWLSS clients have become familiar and comfortable with as she has held her position with SWLSS since the organization’s inception.

COMMUNICATIONS

Dustin Newell

Dustin has many years of experience working extensively for the lobster industry organizations in Southwest Nova Scotia, supporting programs that connect harvesters, science partners, government departments, and community stakeholders.

His experience includes coordinating project activities, preparing funding applications, supporting budgets and financial tracking, organizing meetings and training sessions, maintaining project records, and preparing written updates for boards, members, funders, and government partners.

Dustin plays a crucial role for SWLSS by having the experience to get projects initiated and managing the flow of information between all parties involved with projects.

AT-SEA TECHNICIANS

SWLSS At-Sea Technicians support scientific monitoring programs by collecting accurate biological and bycatch data aboard commercial lobster fishing vessels. Working in a fast-paced and physically demanding marine environment, technicians record information such as species identification, measurements, fishing locations, depths, gear types, and lobster biological characteristics. The role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, adaptability, and the ability to work safely in varying weather and sea conditions while contributing valuable data used to support lobster and bycatch research.

Without At-Sea Technicians there would be no data collected, this makes them hold the most fundamentally important role within the organization.
